Our fall appearance in Wisconsin at Teslacon 2013 was cancelled. Instead we’ll be returning to Detroit, Michigan for Youmacon 2013!
Youmacon takes place October 31st - November 3rd 2013 at the Cobo Center & Renaissance Center in Detroit, Michigan. And you can bet the bots will be on hand for some spooky good times this Halloween in addition to another concert and plenty of panels and autograph sessions throughout the weekend.

So my parents just found out about my fourteen year old brother smoking weed because they found this on his window ledge. So in the middle of a huge lecture my dad decides to open the Baggie and smell it to see how strong it is. He immediately starts crying with laughter. THIS NIGGA HAS BEEN BUYING AND SMOKING FUCKING OREGANO. FUCKIN ITALIAN HERBS. SON. I CAN’T. I CANNOT. I CAN’T DO THIS.
This isn’t funny. That’s the gateway drug to a full blown marinara addiction. It’s good this was caught before this kid started hanging out at Olive Garden and sucking on every breadstick he can find to score another hit.

I’m really glad I’m able to distance myself from all the drama in famdoms. That I can enjoy my music, books, movies, tv shows and such without getting sucked into debates about the “truth” about whatever it is. I’m a fan of many people who are hated. Everyone with even one fan is bound to be hated by someone else, for whatever reason, legitimate or imagined. Those who don’t like someone are welcome to do so. They can even share that opinion on whatever social media site they chose. I don’t care, because I don’t have to acknowledge it. I’m gifted with the ability of ignoring opinions I disagree with, and simply enjoying the art, no matter the medium.
I don’t think Steven Moffat ruined Doctor Who, though, he very well might be the devil…. I don’t care about the “truth” about Emilie Autumn’s personal life, I enjoy her music. The kerfuffle about Cassandra Clare’s books a while back? Yeah, I don’t care how TMI came to be, I love it.
It’s either a talent, or a skill I’ve developed with age. I feel all the drama takes away from the enjoyment I get out of these things. My life is crazy stressful, I NEED my escapes. I need to get caught up in music, or swept away by a mad man in a blue box, lost in the pages of a good book. I don’t need drama leaching the feelings these things bring to me.
It kind of makes me sad to see people letting such shit ruin their love of things like that.
